ION 2000 Overview
The Prisma SD-WAN Instant-On Network (ION) 2000 model is a hardware appliance designed to integrate various wide area network (WAN) connection types, improve application performance and visibility, enhance security and compliance, and reduce overall WAN costs and complexity. Ideal for small remote offices, it enables the cloud-delivered branch by reducing remote infrastructure needs.
Key Features:
- Deep SD-WAN Analysis: Provides actionable insights into WAN application and link health to assist with network planning, problem resolution, and analytics. Offers instant visibility into application performance to better understand network health and usage for effective policy decisions.
- Network DVR License: Optional license allowing retention and access to up to 90 days of statistics, policy, configuration, alarms, and alerts.
- WAN Reporting License: Optional license providing auto-generated and downloadable reports, offering insights across various dimensions of the Prisma SD-WAN fabric to help determine the need for circuit upgrades or policy adjustments.
- Zone-Based Firewall License: Includes an application-based, zone-based firewall (ZBFW) with top-down, application-centric policies used for performance and path selection, ensuring compliance across different network circuits and interfaces. It offers a lightweight security solution for securing the WAN perimeter and segmenting traffic within a branch site. ION devices can also use on-premises security devices or external, hosted security services for additional security for remote offices.
- Prisma SD-WAN CloudBlades: The CloudBlades platform enables API-based integration of the branch CPE, providing a centralized platform for programming and an app-flow engine at the CPE, access to Prisma SD-WAN telemetry, and secure authenticated API access to Prisma SD-WAN CPE and systems. This simplifies management and operations, enabling the cloud-delivered branch.
- High Availability (HA): Features the industry's only HA deployment model that can survive a device failure while preserving 100% of WAN capacity at a branch site.
